Macado's Kids Night before Halloween Party

Games, Costume Contest, Trick or Treat with our servers, Face Painting, Prizes, Pumpkin Carving contest (bring your pumpkin from home) and more - "Just to be scared!"

Lynchburg Lindy-Swing Club - FREE instruction!

Lynchburg Lindy is the swing dance community of Lynchburg. We meet every Thursday night at 8:00 PM. We teach swing for the first hour and then we stay and dance till 11:00 PM. There is a five dollar cover charge and many find it well worth it; for a lesson (Free Instruction from 8-9 PM teaching both Regular East coast Swing and Lindy). Following the lesson, two hours of social dancing! It pays for a verity of things, this web site for one, but it also pays the rent at the dance studio we meet at. Which is the Assemblé Dance studio, located at 1415 Kemper st. Lynchburg VA 24501.

Most come in groups, but couples and singles are welcome too. We also love to have all levels of capability. Whether you are a veteran dancer from the 1920’s doing your thing in the streets of Harlem or you saw some dancing and thought that it looked like something you would like to try. We love to meet new people and we will be sure to save you a place on the dance floor. See ya Thursday!

First Fridays Free - Lynchburg Museum

The Lynchburg Museum in the Old Court House is now open for First Fridays with free admission from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. the first Friday of each month. The Art Trolley will drop you off and pick you up at our front door at 901 Court Street as it makes its way between the art galleries, studios, and other places of interest in Downtown Lynchburg.
