Family Fun Night at Chick=fil-A



Every Tuesday night, Chick-fil-A on Wards Road hosts a Kid's Night! It's a night full of fun! Come by from 5:30-7PM and by any meal and get a FREE 4 piece Kid's Meal for your kids! Every Tuesday night, Ms. Shelley the face-painting lady comes in during Macado's dinner time to paint faces for free! Tips are welcome. Tuesday nights 2 kid's meal are free per paid adult entree. Tuesday nights are also $5 burger nights too! Make sure you ask for a free balloon for your kiddos on the way out!

Lowe's Build and Grow kid's clinics


From project basics to giving your child the opportunity to say, "I built it!", Lowe's Build and Grow kid's clinics are a great way to help build confidence! Bring the kids into any Lowe's store and build a FREE wooden project. Each participant also receives a free apron, goggles, a project themed patch, and a certification of merit upon completion of their project.
Traditionally it's the second Saturday of everymonth and begins at 10AM.

The first Saturday of every month, traditionally Home Depot sponsors a kid's workshop for free from 9am and noon. It's a drop in workshop as long as they have material still available so it's best to come early!

The Old Cemetery


Cemetery Hours:
The Cemetery is FREE and open to the public every day of the year, dawn to dusk. Unless ice and snow make the driveway impassable, the Cemetery gates are always open between dawn and dusk.

Office Hours:
The Cemetery Center, which houses the office of the Southern Memorial Association and the Old City Cemetery, is open every day of the week from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., March through October. During the winter (November through February) the Center is closed on Sundays. We always welcome visits by appointment on days when our office is closed, or before or after office hours.

Museum Hours:
The Mourning Museum (inside the Cemetery Center) is open for drop-in visits whenever the Cemetery Center is open (see above). Tours of the Mourning Museum are free of charge. The Pest House, Hearse House, Station House, and Chapel are open all day for self-guided exterior tours, using brochures and audio recordings. Interior tours of these four museums are by appointment only, for a fee of $5 per adult and $2 per child ($30 minimum).

The entrance to the Old City Cemetery is located at the corner of Fourth and Taylor Streets in downtown Lynchburg.
